Each with her own constraints
From the material necessities wrought by a capitalist noose
To the prison of self-doubt
Stoked by society’s negative feedback
Has let precious time slip away

But to breath deep with the winking stars
And catch the rustle of leaves
Is to know it is never too late
To seize the day by its tail
And the night by its horns

To strangle that which has robbed so many of their lives
Whether the enemy actual or the one internalized
To break the isolation of shame, exhaustion, fear and guilt!
To embrace each moment and demand that all may do the same
